Graphic journalism about the transformative power of making art together, based on research conducted in Indonesia as a Watson Fellow.


Komik-Komik Sama-Sama: Adventures in Indonesian Art and Liberation (2024). 8.25×6″, 90-page paperback comic book.



These small excerpt zines were released in the lead up to the publication of Komik-Komik Sama-Sama. ‘Two Collectives’ is pictured with sister zine An Interview with Sukma Smita.

Two Collectives (Excerpt), 2024. 7×5″ mini-zine and A4 digital drawings, 2024. Two Collectives is a chapter of Komik-Komik Sama-Sama, about the art collectives Taring Padi and Apotik Komik. I released it as a mini-zine in the lead-up to Komik-Komik’s publication, and colorized the pages for display at Yogyakarta Komik Weeks 2024.

Before Komik-Komik, my last book was my Reed College Senior Thesis project, Up the Columbia! (2019.) Columbia is a graphic history and travelogue of the 14 dams of the mainstem Columbia River, from the Canadian Rockies to the Oregon Coast.
